Archil Talakvadze: I want to tell David Arakhamia that no Georgian has ever won a confrontation with Georgia

I want to tell David Arakhamia that no Georgian has ever won a confrontation with Georgia, Parliament Vice-Speaker Archil Talakvadze told journalists.

According to him, David Arakhamia's statements are unfriendly and he repeats the narrative of the National Movement.

"As our friendly country, Ukraine, is at war with Russia, we have been refraining for all these months from making the evaluations of specific political persons in the Ukrainian Government that they really deserve. As for David Arakhamia, he made unfriendly statements towards Georgia. When there is a war in Ukraine, it is surprising that politicians, including high officials of the Parliament, are willing to interfere in the internal political affairs of Georgia. His statements directly repeat the narrative of the National Movement in Georgia, and I want to tell him that no Georgian has ever won a confrontation with Georgia. So, once again, we support Ukraine, the Ukrainian people, the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine," said Talakvadze.

David Arakhamia, Chairman of the People's Servant faction in the Rada of Ukraine, criticized the Government of Georgia for the statements made on the 14th anniversary of the August 2008 war, saying that he expected that the Government of Georgia would not have the courage to criticize the aggressor even in relation to its own country.
