Preparations for the war ongoing in Ukraine began approximately 3 years ago - exactly at that time, preparations began for the change of government in Georgia in order to bring people who would easily sign for the country's involvement in the war. The above statement was released by the public movement People's Power, which was founded by the MPs who left the Georgian Dream.

According to the MPs, the implementation of the revolutionary scenario started three years ago. The MPs recall how “the Embassy forced the Government to release Ugulava and Okruashvili from prison and to change the electoral system in favor of the National Movement and its satellites.”

According to the members of the movement, the United States Embassy had no hope that they would drag Georgia into war under the Georgian Dream ruling and "that is why the Embassy tried with full persistence before and after the parliamentary elections to bring the National Movement and its satellites to power."

“Since we have received silence to the questions we asked, we were thinking of stopping. However, after the interview given by the American Ambassador to the Formula TV, which belongs to the National Movement and oligarch Davit Kezerashvili, we decided to tell the public more truth about the events that took place behind the scenes of Georgian politics during the past three years. The case concerns an attempt to change the government against the will of the people, which was carried out with the coordination of the Embassy and about which the public has only superficial information.

The fact that the Ambassador only visits the media outlets belonging to the National Movement and its oligarchic leaders, which serve as the main source of polarization, lies and hatred in Georgia, indicates a lot. The Ambassador visited the media outlet independent of the National Movement only once, and even there she gave an interview to the journalist who was a particularly frequent visitor to the Embassy and a supporter of the radical opposition.

We see that the Ambassador avoids critical media and critical questions. A visit to Formula proves that the Ambassador feels comfortable only in the media she controls and only when she is asked pre-defined questions. In addition, this fact clearly shows the political taste of the Embassy.

In the interview, we could not hear any critical question, which would make the public understand the truth about interesting issues. Is this the standard of American democracy and media freedom? After that interview, the conclusion of one of the Georgian experts became fully credible, according to which, Bidzina Ivanishvili's lawyers' attempt to publish articles in Switzerland was blocked and continues to be blocked due to the above-mentioned facts.

The public knows very well that during their time in power, Mikheil Saakashvili and the National Movement were not taking any step without the Embassy, and now it is clear that the Embassy was behind the then media monopoly. Such a low standard of democracy and media freedom is fundamentally unacceptable for us. We want better quality democracy and media for our country.

The interview given to Formula once again clearly confirmed that the Embassy is not going to be satisfied with the sins already committed and it is planning to attack the Georgian Government with new energy in the future.

First, we note that Kelly Degnan once again called our questions and the facts related to them false. Of course, the Formula journalist never once thought to ask a critical question to the Ambassador in order to clarify which fact mentioned by us was false”, reads the statement.

According to the MPs, the statements made by the American Ambassador deepen their doubts regarding the interest of opening the second front in Georgia.

“The American ambassador said that they ask all partners to help Ukraine as much as possible. She noted that they are doing everything to help Ukraine win the war against Russia. The Ambassador also said it was important for Georgia and Ukraine to stand together against Russian aggression. Such statements further deepen our doubts regarding the interest of the second front. The public is once again witnessing that the American Ambassador says one thing by using general terms and does something completely different in reality. When general phrases do not match with actions, society can easily draw logical conclusions”, reads the statement.
