Sozar Subari, Mikheil Kavelashvili and Dimitri Khundadze are leaving the Georgian Dream. Mamuka Mdinaradze, Chairman of the Georgian Dream faction, made the relevant statement after the end of the majority session.
"I have to inform you about one extraordinary decision: worthy members of our team and friends Sozar Subari, Mikheil Kavelashvili and Dimitri Khundadze are leaving the Georgian Dream faction, party and parliamentary positions," said Mamuka Mdinaradze.
Mdinaradze explained the reason for the decision made by the MPs. According to Mdinaradze, the MPs believe that more information should be disseminated about political facts and events from behind the scenes and they need free parliamentary mandates for this, as there may be inconveniences within the team.
"The reason for this was one controversial issue at today's majority session, which had been discussed in the party before as well. In particular, they think that the dose of information on political issues is not enough in our team in order to allow the public to make the right conclusions. They believe that more information should be disseminated about political facts and events from behind the scenes. There was an argument, a discussion, and they decided that they need a free parliamentary mandate to voice this, as they may have some inconveniences within the team. Therefore, they made this decision, the team did not support this decision, however, this is the final decision," said Mdinaradze.
