Droa leader Elene Khoshtaria responds to the entry of a ship with cargo of a sanctioned company in the Batumi port and notes that Davit Iakobashvili, who is engaged in the oil business in Georgia, is behind the above.
As Khoshtaria explained, the Georgian side is involved in this through the "informal pyramid of corrupt management of economy".
"As far as we have been informed, Davit Iakobashvili, a Georgian native and now a Swedish citizen, who is engaged in the oil business in Georgia, is behind this fact and mechanism. He signed a partnership contract with Rosneft in 2014 and 49% of his company was acquired by Rosneft. Formal documents were altered after the imposition of sanctions. This is directly related to Evtushenkov, who talked to Bidzina Ivanishvili on the phone and called him Borinka.
Of course, the Georgian side is involved in this through the informal pyramid of corrupt management of economy. The role of Ucha Mamatsashvili and Liluashvili is to be studied in this scheme. It is a fact that the state agencies let this cargo reach the Georgian port.
It is very important to cooperate with partners and not to sanction the country but specifically the person who puts the country in this situation. They have stained their hands with blooded money," Khoshtaria said.
As Elene Khoshtaria added, it is noteworthy that the ship was in Georgia for 2 days, but the Government started talking about it only after the information was spread by the media.
"We need to focus on a few facts. First - it is inconceivable for a ship traveling 500 km to carry sanctioned cargo without prior agreement, without a guarantee that the cargo will be accepted. By the time they arrive at port, all ships undergo the relevant procedures. They are checked by all agencies. The mechanism for avoiding sanctions is as follows: the ship enters the port and the documentation of origin is changed in order to take the cargo elsewhere”, said Elene Khoshtaria.
