Irakli Kobakhidze: We can copy the Ukrainian law on de-oligarchization - Kezerashvili meets three out of four criteria, Khazaradze - three out of four, Saakashvili is clearly an oligarch

We can copy the Ukrainian law on de-oligarchization - Davit Kezerashvili meets three out of four criteria, Mamuka Khazaradze - three out of four, Mikheil Saakashvili is clearly an oligarch, said Irakli Kobakhidze, chairman of the Georgian Dream party.

According to him, there is no evidence that Bidzina Ivanishvili is interfering in politics or the media in any way, but as for Kezerashvili, Khazaradze and others, "this is confirmed by the facts."

"The law on de-oligarchization is in force in Ukraine. We can copy this law directly in Georgia and we will see that according to this law, Bidzina Ivanishvili can not be considered an oligarch, but Kezerashvili, Khazaradze and others, leaders of the radical opposition, will be considered oligarchs. Therefore, we can either copy it or pass it in Ukrainian - take this half-jokingly. There is a reason that according to Ukrainian law Ivanishvili cannot be considered an oligarch and Kezerashvili and Khazaradze will be. In particular, the Ukrainian law lists four reasons why a person is considered an oligarch - that is, s/he must have more than $ 85 million in assets, influence on media, as well as to influence on politics and a dominant position in business. A person must meet three out of four. If we follow these criteria, Bidzina Ivanishvili only meets 1 out of four criteria, his property is more than 85 million dollars. As for Kezerashvili, he meets three out of four. Khazaradze - three out of four. Bring even one piece of evidence that Bidzina Ivanishvili has any influence on politics or the media," Kobakhidze said.

According to him, the facts also prove that Saakashvili is an oligarch.

"I forgot the main thing, he has more than 85 million assets, he still invests this looted money in politics. Saakashvili is an informal leader, he has an obvious influence on politics and he directly finances the TV stations he owns, he meets three out of four criteria, so Saakashvili is clearly an oligarch. There are facts about Saakashvili, he calls four people a day to give political instructions. Bidzina Ivanishvili has nothing to do with the Georgian Dream, he is out of politics, it was his will and there is no evidence that he interfered in anything," Kobakhidze said.

Asked how he knew about Kezerashvili's finances, Kobakhidze said that he invests millions in the media every month.

"He was the Minister of Defense, he did not have a penny before, and when he left the Ministry of Defense, he became the owner of a billion-dollar turnover company in one month. I can guarantee you that the total value of his companies is much more than 85 million.

He invests about a million in the media every month. If we copy the Ukrainian law, Kezerashvili will fall into the notion of an oligarch," Kobakhidze said.
