“The economic involvement of the members of the diaspora in our country is very important, they are financially capable people and can do something,” President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili said at the forum "Georgian Diaspora for the European Future of Georgia."
According to her, it is necessary to prepare projects in such a way to make it easy for the representatives of the diaspora to contribute to and participate in the Georgian economy.
"Their desire is not only charity, but also involvement in the development of the country and investment. These projects need to be prepared in such a way that makes it easy for them to contribute and participate, so that they can become a real part of the country. They should be able to contribute regardless of not being present here. We are rich of diaspora we can become even richer in our relations with them," said Salome Zurabishvili.
