26.05.22 14:00

Andrii Kasianov, Ukraine’s chargé d’affaires in Georgia, stated during the briefing that 20,000 Ukrainian citizens, among them 5,500 minors, had entered Georgia since February 24, when Russia attacked Ukraine.

Kasianov hoped forcedly displaced Ukrainian citizens would not have difficulty finding accommodation in Georgia.

“In coordination with the Government of Georgia and cooperation with the UN High Commissioner, we are taking all necessary measures to meet their basic needs. Some Ukrainians got jobs in various fields in Georgia,” he said.

Andrii Kasianov thanked the Georgian government and Georgian people for their continuous support.
