The opposition has no drive or motivation to do anything at the moment. I do not think that leaving the parliament will change anything, but at least they will be motivated. When you are in comfort and you do not come out of comfort, you have no incentive to do anything, Zurab Japaridze, the chairman of Girchi - More Freedom told PalitraNews TV.
As he noted, the opposition will not do anything until 2024, and then "they will make a move and start talking that it is a historic moment."
"Now there is no mood of rallies and street protests, when I talk about it, some people from the opposition are upset, as if I am against someone. There is no such mood in the opposition, they sit in parliament and are fine, they go on a trip to Buenos Aires and so on. The opposition has no drive or motivation to do anything at the moment. I do not think that leaving the parliament will change anything, but at least they will be motivated. When you are in comfort and you do not come out of comfort, you have no incentive to do anything. At the moment the opposition is not doing anything and will not do anything until 2024, this is the picture, because they are fine where they are. They will make a move in 2024, they will start talking that "now is a historic moment, we have to crush them, the situation has been resolved." I hope that the opposition will strengthen in unity, but I do not know how they will manage to do that," Japaridze said.
According to Zurab Japaridze, his goal is to strengthen as much as possible and "overcome the 5% threshold."
Japaridze says he will try to change the citizens' perceptions.
