Natia Mezvrishvili: Our strategic partners are concerned about the situation in Georgia

20.05.22 10:30

“We asked our strategic partners not to leave the Georgian people alone, to stand by them, despite the fact that the Georgian Government pursues a completely different policy,” Natia Mezvrishvili, one of the leaders of the For Georgia party, said after meeting with Derek Chollet, Counselor of the US Department of State.

According to her, the European choice is the choice of the citizens of Georgia.

As Mezvrishvili noted, strategic partners are concerned about the situation in Georgia.

"We did not raise the issue of sanctions, but the conversation was about the fact that we actually have the rule of one party, the rule of one man, and absolutely everything is governed by party interests, party instructions and his instructions. Of course, I focused on that. There was talk of sanctions, the issue was raised by colleagues. There was no specific answer from them. In general, our strategic partners are concerned about the current situation in Georgia, the position of the Georgian Government and the steps that the Georgian Government is taking," Mezvrishvili said.
