According to the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, the disseminated recording, where Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder of the Georgian Dream, and Vladimir Yevtushenkov, the Russian oligarch, the founder of Sistemas, are allegedly having a conversation, is part of a disinformation campaign against Georgia.

According to Papuashvili, the authenticity of the recording is in question and it is aimed at dragging Georgia into the war.

"There is a disinformation campaign against Georgia in order to cause unrest in the country and to involve Georgia in the war. What's best is that we visually saw yesterday how this is being done and how this disinformation campaign is being implemented - disseminating so-called recordings that is a fabrication and it can be seen even with the naked eye, reactions inside and outside the country, the party and then UNM televisions actualizing the issue, then the National Movement youth wing - Shame - taking it out of the country, etc. This is a whole chain. For our population, this is a school-level learning example of how a disinformation campaign is being prepared and implemented. We saw yesterday how falsifications, fabrications are made as if we are dealing with scandals. Finally, we approached the goal we are talking about, this is unrest in the country. This is a stated goal - to change the government in an undemocratic way, and then involve the country in the war," Papuashvili said, adding that organizations carrying out special anti-disinformation projects are unfortunately silent today.

Papuashvili noted that there is no indication that these records are authentic.

"What proves that this record is authentic? In addition to investigation, there is common sense and experience. Nothing indicates that these records are authentic. If there are conversations, should not they be followed by facts? There is no such thing. The rumor spreader must prove that the rumor is true and not the addressee," Papuashvili said, adding that he does not expect sanctions against Bidzina Ivanishvili.

For information, according to "Cyber Kmara", an audio recording of the founder of Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili, and the Russian oligarch, the founder of Sistemas, Vladimir Yevtushenkov, is disseminated on the social network. The telephone conversation dated March 10 and March 12 this year, concerns a meeting of Russian businessmen in Tbilisi. The recording mentions the name of Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili, about whom Ivanishvili allegedly told Yevtushenkov that he had met with his envoy. In response, Yevtushenkov allegedly asks Ivanishvili to personally meet with his representative.
