Iago Khvichia: Disintegration of the National Movement is the shortest way to release Mikheil Saakashvili

22.04.22 16:30

United National Movement leaving the parliament will not automatically lead to the release of Mikheil Saakashvili, but if the party representatives believe it, it would be right and moral if they have done that even earlier, Iago Khvichia, a Girchi MP, told reporters.

According to him, the issue of leaving the parliament may lead to the disintegration of the National Movement.

"The disintegration of the United National Movement is the shortest way to release Mikheil Saakashvili. If part of them leaves parliament and part remains, it is a step towards disintegration.

The National Movement as a party must be disbanded, because it is the weapon of the Georgian Dream against the Georgian people. Party members have such a bad role. These people should be freed from this role, which will create completely different opportunities for the defeat of the Georgian Dream," Iago Khvichia said.

The representative of the National Movement Nugzar Tsiklauri did not rule out that the party will boycott the parliament at the first stage, and then leave the parliament. As Tsiklauri told Palitranews TV, now, in the light of issues related to Mikheil Saakashvili, it is time to make important decisions. Tsiklauri is sure that the National Movement will hold a discussion about "what purpose does being in parliament serve".
