Georgian Dream is an obstacle on the path to European integration, war-torn Ukraine sent out a questionnaire within a week, and Georgia, at peace, spent a week simply publicizing the questions - it would be better to change the Government, said Giorgi Vashadze, leader of Strategy Builder, responding to the statement of UNM member, Levan Khabeishvili, that tomorrow, April 20, the former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, will speak at his trial about the plan for early elections.
According to Vashadze, if any party has an action plan, he will not hinder it, because he is convinced that the Georgian Dream should be removed from the government.
"Strategy Builder has its own, clearly defined plan, we are consistent and we will not deviate from these plans. As for rallies, protests, it is a constitutionally guaranteed right of any political group, everyone can have their own vision. The main principle, since we are different political forces, should principle of non-aggression towards each other, which is often forgotten by some opposition parties or oppositionists; instead of attacking the Georgian Dream, they attack the opposition. They are helping Georgian Dream with this.
Therefore, if any opposition party has an action plan, this is its plan, I will not interfere in this, because I am really sure that the Georgian Dream should be removed [from the government]. Strategy Builder is doing its part where we see resources, others do it in their own way. The process will show us which way is right and which is better. If it were my will, I would definitely call early elections, because I really think that accelerated integration into the European Union is the main priority of the country and the Georgian Dream is the obstacle to this integration. Let me give you an example - war-torn Ukraine sent out a questionnaire in one week, and Georgia, at peace, spent a week simply publicizing these questions, it's a difference which shows who wants to integrate into the EU, so I really think it would be better to change the Government. If Strategy Builder was in power, believe me, we would do it in 3 days," Vashadze said.
In response to the question of whether there is a momentum in the society for rallies and demand for early elections, Vashadze's answered: "Friends, let's go to the streets and we will see what kind of momentum is out there."
For information, MP Levan Khabeishvili, a member of the United National Movement, hopes that other opposition parties will join the fight for early elections along with the United National Movement. According to Levan Khabeishvili, on April 20, the third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, will talk about the plan on how to call early elections in the country.
