Georgia reports 7,947 new cases of coronavirus, 31 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 35,082 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 20,608 antigen tests and 14,474 PCR tests.

 

As a result of the testing, 7,947 new cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 1,059,392.

 

As of January 23, the daily positive rate is 22.65%, for the last 14 days - 13.08% and for 7 days - 16.61%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 5,550 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 967,585. 31 deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 14,732 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 7 947 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 4 496 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 1 352, Imereti - 857, Kvemo Kartli - 282, Shida Kartli - 266, Guria - 100, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 215, Kakheti - 180, Mtskheta -Mtianeti - 98, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 93, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti -8.
