The third President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili responds to the decision of the State Inspector. As Mikheil Saakashvili writes on his Facebook page, there are at least 2 independent state institutions in Georgia - the Public Defender and the State Inspector.

"I welcome the decision of the State Inspector to find a violation of my rights and to prohibit further such actions by the Ministry of Justice. This means that there are at least 2 independent state institutions in Georgia - the Public Defender and State Inspector. It is noteworthy that both positions are led by women. I also know that there are many decent and patriotic citizens in many different state bodies and I expect them to take a fair stance against unfair facts," Saakashvili wrote.

The State Inspector’s Office has completed an investigation into the disclosure of the personal data of the third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, and found that the Ministry of Justice and the Special Penitentiary Service disclosed the data in violation of the Law on Personal Data Protection.

As InterpressNews was informed by the agency, the State Inspector imposed administrative responsibility on the Ministry of Justice and the Special Penitentiary Service.
