National Movement demands meeting with Minister of Justice

09.11.21 11:20

The parliamentary faction United National Movement - Power is in Unity demands a meeting with Minister of Justice Rati Bregadze.

As the chairman of the faction Khatia Dekanoidze noted at the rally in front of the Ministry of Justice, she wants to hear answers from the Minister of Justice to the questions related to yesterday's events.

"What happened in Georgia yesterday was practically the final limit of how the regime behaves, how oligarchy behaves, when the president is kidnapped and taken to Gldani Penitentiary Medical Center. We had been searching for him for an hour and a half and could not find him, even the Public Defender could not find him. Then they made noise there. We saw disgusting footage of the third president of Georgia being cursed and threatened and all state borders being demolished. We saw obedient police standing and obediently listening to this threat and swearing by criminals. I am very sorry for the state institutions, including the judiciary, which Bidzina Ivanishvili has turned into his own service. It does not matter who the minister is, he has a specific name, but he is an accomplice to the torture, inhuman treatment, and murder that is planned by the Georgian authorities. I, on behalf of the faction United National Movement - Power in Unity, on behalf of our parliamentary delegation, demand to meet with the Minister of Justice to hear explanations from him”, said Dekanoidze.
