According to the Ministry of Justice, Mikheil Saakashvili damaged expensive medical equipment after being transferred to Gldani Medical Institution #18.
According to the agency, Saakashvili also physically and verbally abused the staff of the institution, which is investigated by the General Inspectorate.
"After Mikheil Saakashvili entered the №18 facility, he physically and verbally abused the staff of the penitentiary institution and damaged expensive medical equipment.
The Ministry of Justice has already followed the relevant legal response. The General Inspection of the Ministry of Justice has launched an investigation into the incident", - the ministry said in a statement.
