The Polish government donates 468,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine to Georgia, the Ministry of Health of Georgia reports.

 

According to them, the first part of the donation has already been delivered to Georgia. According to the Ministry, the "Pfizer" vaccine will be introduced in the country in 5 stages during the next one week.

 

"I am glad that Poland was able to help Georgia during this difficult period. I hope the population will actively use these vaccines and finally with the help of vaccination we will end the current fifth wave and the pandemic. If necessary, Poland will help Georgia again", - said Polish Ambassador to Georgia Mariusz Maszkiewicz.

 

According to the Ministry, the delivery event was attended by First Deputy Minister of Health Tamar Gabunia, Polish Ambassador to Georgia Mariusz Maszkiewicz, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Khvtisiashvili and Head of the Center for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze.
