"Azerbaijan is ready to normalize relations with Armenia on the basis of strict adherence to the principles of international law," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement .

 

Official Baku calls on the Armenian authorities to respect the fundamental principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of international borders and to fulfill its international obligations to ensure peace, security and prosperity in the region.


At the same time, the statement was issued by the President of Azerbaijan. According to Ilham Aliyev, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is a property of history. On September 27, 2020, the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War began. After 44 days of confrontation, the Azerbaijani army regained control of most of Nagorno-Karabakh.
