Prime Minister of Georgia starts official meetings within the framework of the UN General Assembly

The general debate of the 76th session of the General Assembly opens at the UN today. The opening of the high-level week will be attended by a Georgian delegation led by Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili, who is already in New York.

 

The participants in the opening session of the general debate will be addressed by the UN Secretary General, the President of the General Assembly, the President of United States, Joseph Biden, and other leaders.

 

The speech of the Head of the Government of Georgia at the session of the General Assembly is scheduled for September 24.

 

Today, Irakli Gharibashvili will hold a number of bilateral meetings with leaders of different states, as well as take part in parallel events held within the framework of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.

 

The Georgian delegation, led by the Prime Minister, includes Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Davit Zalkaliani, Minister of Education and Science Mikheil Chkhenkeli and Head of the Government Administration Ilia Darchiashvili.
