COVID-19 vaccination rates have fallen off a cliff in Georgia, said Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia on Monday, dubbing the slumping rate as alarming.
However, amid slowdown, Tbilisi shows high rates of vaccinations, Gabunia noted.
Deputy Minister believes the COVID-19 vaccination campaign should be boosted to rev up the process anew.
Gabunia assumes in-person learning will resume on October 4; the epidemiological situation should stabilize until then.
NCDC and the Ministry of Education are preparing additional proposals regarding the safe opening of schools, she added.
Earlier today, Georgia reported 662 coronavirus cases, 3,534 recoveries, and 34 deaths, increasing the total case tally to 595,926.
