The total number of people infected with coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic in the world has exceeded 223 million. The relevant data has been published by worldometers.
According to the same statistics, Covid 19 has killed more than 4.6 million people worldwide to date, and the number of people recovered from the virus exceeds 200 million. There are currently 18.8 million active cases of infection worldwide.
The highest number of coronavirus infections - 41.3 million cases - has been confirmed by the United States, followed by India with 33.1 million cases, Brazil, UK, and Russia.
An expert from the World Health Organization said two days ago that the world is going through the plateau in terms of the spread of coronavirus disease.
