New details about person detained on charges of murdering Australian citizen Shanae Brooke

The Georgian citizen arrested in Tbilisi on charges of murdering Australian citizen Shanae Brooke is Rafael Mursakulov.


According to InterPressNews, lawyer Sophio Goglichidze will arrive at the temporary detention facility to meet with the accused in about an hour.

 

The lawyer does not have information on the position of the accused regarding his arrest or the cause of the crime.

 

At the same time, ambebi.ge found out new details. According to them, the detainee pleads guilty. He lived near the victim, on Gogebashvili Street. The alleged motive for the murder was robbery - the attacker was going to seize Shanae Brooke’s iPhone 12, but he could not achieve the goal, because the girl threw the phone in a ravine. The accused cut his hand with a knife and left traces of his blood at the crime scene, as a result of which, the genetic examination established the detainee's DNA and his identity.

 

According to the source of Ambebi.ge, the accused was detained by the police at his own house.
