Investigator Mariana Choloyan, convicted in the case of the death of 15-year-old Luka Siradze, has been released from prison.
Choloyani's case was discussed by the Commission for early release ("Udo").
The arrested investigator was released yesterday.
For reference, 15-year-old Luka Siradze committed suicide after being questioned by the police. In connection with the case, police investigator Mariana Choloyani was arrested on charges of forcing a teenager to testify. On September 7, 2020, the arrested investigator was sentenced by the Tbilisi City Court to 3 years in prison. In the case of Luka Siradze, the State Inspector's Office revealed an administrative misconduct by several other police officers.
