Georgia reports 3,670 new cases of coronavirus, 38 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 41,885 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 24,184 antigen tests and 17,701 PCR tests.

 

As a result of the testing, 3,670 new cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 436,573.

 

As of August 4, the daily positive rate is 8.76%, for the last 14 days - 7.85% and for 7 days - 8.67%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 2,626 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 393,453. 38 new deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 5,986 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 3,670 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 1,652 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 601, Imereti - 400, Kvemo Kartli - 197, Shida Kartli - 155, Guria - 93, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 190, Kakheti - 187, Mtskheta- Mtianeti-84, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 89, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 22.
