The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia addresses the Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili with a letter asking him to hand over the Anchiskhati Basilica to Church.

 

The letter says that the Patriarchate has been raising this issue with the government for a long time, the readiness has always been there, but the government has demanded the creation of appropriate conditions for the protection and maintenance of purity.

 

The patriarch noted in its letter that, according to the request of the authorities, a German company has ensured a high-tech condition to install the icon in the Anchiskhati temple, as well as other necessary works have been carried out to protect the sanctuary.
