Georgia reports 2796 new cases of coronavirus, 17 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 41,684 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 23,712 antigen tests and 17,972 PCR tests.

 

As a result of the testing, 2,796 new cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 413,626.

 

As of July 28, the daily positive rate is 6.71%, for the last 14 days - 6.73% and for 7 days - 7.0%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 2,088 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 379,685. 17 new deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 5,768 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.


Out of 2,796 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 1,359 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 413, Imereti - 263, Kvemo Kartli - 152, Shida Kartli - 120, Guria - 71, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 108, Kakheti - 178, Mtskheta- Mtianeti-58, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 57, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 17.
