The State Inspector's Service has launched an investigation into a case of a person jumping from the balcony of a police station on Tsereteli Avenue.

 

According to the Inspector's Service, an investigation has been launched into the alleged fact of official indifference on the part of certain employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

 

"On June 16, 2021, a report was received in the Investigation Department of the State Inspector's Service, according to which a man jumped from the balcony of the administrative building of the Fourth Division of the Didube-Chugureti Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department.

 

Based on this notification, the Investigation Department of the State Inspector's Service immediately launched an investigation into alleged official indifference on the part of certain employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which resulted in serious consequences under Article 342, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

 


At this stage, investigative actions are being carried out in an intensive mode. The State Inspector's Service will carry out all necessary investigative and procedural actions to ensure an effective investigation", - the statement said.
