Georgia reports 741 new cases of coronavirus, 18 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of intensive testing, 31,350 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, including 17,359 antigen tests and 13,991 PCR tests.

 

Testing revealed 741 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 356,920.

 

As of June 16, the daily positive rate is 2.36%, for the last 14 days - 2.49%, and for 7 days - 2.40%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 945 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 342,720. 18 new deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 5,114 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 741 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 414 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 38, Imereti - 82, Kvemo Kartli - 50, Shida Kartli - 40, Guria - 2, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 39, Kakheti - 37, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 16, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 13, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 10.
