Georgia reports 687 new cases of coronavirus, 8 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 27,713 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 17,490 antigen tests and 10,223 PCR tests.

 

Testing revealed 687 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 285,645. As of April 6, the daily positive rate is 2.48%, for the last 14 days - 1.98%, and for 7 days - 2.42%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 327 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 275,547. 8 new deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 3,840 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 687 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 351 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 61, Imereti - 68, Kvemo Kartli - 22, Shida Kartli - 41, Guria - 14, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 84, Kakheti - 18, Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 20, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 4, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 4.
