Opposition to drive in convoy from Republic Square to Rustavi Prison tomorrow

03.03.21 18:00

According to Tina Bokuchava, a member of the United National Movement, the opposition will hold a convoy protest from the Republic Square to Rustavi Prison tomorrow, where the chairman of the United National Movement, Nika Melia, is placed.

According to Bokuchava, the opposition has decided to modify the form of the protests.

“It is very important for the United National Movement that the opposition act together, including in organizing protests. At yesterday's meeting, as well as at today's meeting at the UNM office, we discussed and decided to modify the form of protests so that to Gharibashvili and Ivanishvili will not be able to use the protests as a pretext for disrupting talks.

Tomorrow's rally, which was to take place in the form of a picket near the Chancellery, has been modified and it will be a convoy protest, which will start at 13:00 on Republic Square. We will go to Rustavi prison, where political prisoner Nika Melia is placed. We have postponed the March 13 rally until March 20," said Tina Bokuchava.
