Georgia reports 147 coronavirus cases, 607 recoveries, 12 deaths

Georgia reported 147 coronavirus cases, 607 recoveries, and 12 deaths on Monday, the official figures show.

 

5, 275 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 2, 736 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 2, 539 were PCR tests.

 

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 64 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 28 cases, and the Shida Kartli region with 16 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 268, 502, among them 262, 244 people recovered and 3, 447 died.

 

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 2.79 %, while 2.6% over the week.

 

There are 318 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 1, 713 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 207 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

 

Currently, out of 336 critical patients, 101 require mechanical ventilation.
