Fire extinguished on Georgian-Armenian border

The fire near village Kachagani of Marneuli district, has been liquidated, the Emergency Management Situation Service of the Interior Ministry told InterPressNews.

 

According to the agency, bushes and thorny undergrowth are burnt on the Georgian-Armenian borderline. The Emergency Situation Service says the fire has broken out on the territory of Armenia and later, it spread on the territory of Georgia.

 

Seven firefighting crews, including 65 fire fighters were working to extinguish the fire, while Armenian firefighters were involved in the firefighting works on the territory of Armenia.

 

The employees of the Border Police of the Internal Affairs Ministry of Georgia were also mobilized on the ground.
