Georgia has won two inter-state cases against Russia, the enforcement of which is the common responsibility of all members of the Council of Europe," Mariam Kvrivishvili, First Deputy Chairwoman of the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration, said at the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly, the topic of discussion of which is the enforcement of the judgments of the Euroepan Court of Human Rights.

"Georgia has won two inter-state cases against Russia. One was the deportation case concerning the detention and collective expulsion of numerous Georgians by the Russian Federation. Russia was ordered to pay 10 million euros, a decision that has not yet been implemented. The recently won case concerns the August 2008 war. The enforcement of both inter-state cases is the shared responsibility of all members of the Council of Europe. The Government of Georgia is committed to fully and effectively enforcing the rulings of the European Court of Human Rights,” Mariam Kvrivishvili said.
