All the indicators are decreasing, we are moving towards stabilization, but this does not give us any reason to calm down, - Amiran Gamkrelidze,Head of the National Center for Disease Control, said after the meeting of the Coordination Council.

According to him, the decrease in new cases is quite positive.

"We have 110 new cases in Georgia today. This, of course, is good, but there is no reason to calm down - this data is based on a total of 5,000 tests, as you know, the number of tests performed on weekends is generally low. However, the trend towards a decrease in new cases is quite positive.

On average, we have a positive rate of 11.3% in the last 30 days, 8.3% in the last week and 9.8% in the last two weeks. At the end of November and in the first week of December, we had one of the highest incidence rates, but today we are somewhere in the middle of Europe. All the indicators are decreasing, we are moving towards stabilization, but this does not give us any reason to calm down," Amiran Gamkrelidze said.
