Meeting scheduled between US Deputy Assisting Secretary of State and opposition

The opposition will meet with US Deputy Assisting Secretary of State Philip Reeker. The meeting will be held at Sheraton Metekhi Palace today.

 

As the former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili says, the meeting was suddenly scheduled, which is welcomed.

 

"I welcome the fact that an unscheduled meeting has suddenly been scheduled with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Philip Reeker, the highest-ranking diplomat of the United States in Europe and the surrounding region, who has the authority to resolve specific issues. The meeting was not scheduled with the opposition, it was not in the protocol, which of course, in my opinion, was not right - now it has been scheduled,” Saakashvili said.
