21.09.20 13:00

According to Marina Ezugbaia, medical director of the Infectious Diseases Hospital, the daily number of infected people does not increase and ranges from 152 to 196.

According to her, Adjara remains a hot spot, but the situation is gradually improving in the region.

"Fortunately, the data is not growing, we have not crossed 200. The number of infected people started to increase in September and we are fluctuating between 152 and 196. In August, we used to perform about 7,000 tests per day, and today, as far as I know, this number has been doubled. With these data, Georgia still remains in the “green zone"," - said Marina Ezugbaia.

She once again called on the population to abide by the regulations.

193 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia and the number of infected people reached 3695. The number of recoveries has increased by 40 and reached 1534. Coronavirus has claimed the lives of 20 patients in the country.
