Georgia is considered a "green zone", - the Head of the National Center for Disease Control, Amiran Gamkrelidze, said at a briefing today.

According to him, in terms of the spread of coronavirus, Adjara remains a hot spot.

"The number of new cases is 2.63 per 100,000 inhabitants in the country according to the data of the last 14 days. The whole country is in the green zone, the threshold of the green zone is 5, which is then followed by the yellow, more dangerous zone, ”said Amiran Gamkrelidze.

Gamkrelidze noted that we have no reason to calm down and all existing recommendations remain in force.

"Today we have a little decrease, but it does not give us any reason to calm down. We need to calm down, if this decrease is sustainable for a few days. Therefore, all the recommendations remain in force, "Amiran Gamkrelidze said.
