Amiran Gamkrelidze, Director General of the National Center for Disease Control, says he does not think that the cyber-attack on the Lugar Laboratory was aimed at obtaining information, but it was another attempt to fuel the topic of the Lugar Laboratory again.

 

As Gamkrelidze said on PalitraNews, their information is transparent.

 

"I do not think that the attack was aimed at obtaining information, because all our information is transparent and is posted on various social and web sites. Our materials are often published in the press, be it scientific or public press, so I do not think that the above was the reason. I think that it is related to the topic of "Novichok". Since Lugar is a Georgian-American project, they try to fuel this topic. They always try to engage us into the discussions, but we no longer respond to it. I am directly saying that this is another nonsense, another rumor and another very cheap "trick", Gamkrelidze said.
