According to Public Defender Nino Lomjaria, she was told at the Prosecutor General's Office that the FBI had no readiness to get involved in the Tamar Bachaliashvili case.

"Of course, we asked about the involvement of the FBI. As we were told at the Prosecutor General's Office, there was preliminary communication with the relevant attaché about the possibility of cooperation. As the Prosecutor General said, views were exchanged about the FBI involvement. The FBI says it has no competence to engage in the investigation of another country. Consequently, at this point, as I was told, the FBI does not have the relevant readiness. However, according to the Prosecutor General, they have addressed Facebook and Google for international legal assistance”, Lomjaria said.
