According to Minister of Health Ekaterine Tikaradze, in case of violation of the recommendations given to schools and kindergartens, the state will have an immediate response, which may include the closure of an educational institution.
"Many times, in my communication, I tried to explain that it is important that we, first of all, increase our own responsibility. In this case, the existing recommendations may turn out to be enough for us to learn how to live together with Covid. Of course, at this stage, all this is of a recommendatory nature, since our goal is not to impose sanctions, neither on schools, nor on teachers, students, or parents, but in the event of certain misconduct, of course, we will have an instant response to keep safe learning environment.
As for the response, if necessary, of course, the school will be closed, all sanitary norms will be reviewed and enforced. They will be given additional recommendations and additional trainings as well. After that, they will be able to resume studies,” said Ekaterine Tikaradze.
