According to Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, the loan co-financing program for companies involved in the hotel business will be extended from 6 to 12 months. Gakharia called the decision important that can help the tourism sector and maintain jobs.

"The first anti-crisis step we took in the direction of economy was to help the tourism sector and, first of all, the hotel business. In just three months it appeared that this move was not enough and we extended the loan co-financing program for these companies involved in the hotel business for 3 to 6 months. Today we have to make a new decision, because it seems that even this is not enough and we must extend the loan co-financing subsidy program from 6 to 12 months. This, of course, is the only opportunity to help this sector today, because, even though economic indicators are cautiously optimistic, the tourism sector is still under serious pressure. Therefore, we must do oust best to help this sector," Gakharia said.

The PM added that the companies that have failed to enroll in the program will be able to do so from September 10 to October 10.
