We all need to understand that the global pandemic is a challenge that we will probably have to face for the next one year, or a year and a half, - Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said at the beginning of the government session.

 

As Gakharia noted, the main task of the government now is to properly manage risks.

 

"As you know, yesterday we had an increase in the number of cases of infection - 38 cases. Today we have 20 new cases, which, of course, needs to be paid attention.

 

It should also be mentioned that 7186 tests were performed in the country yesterday and we will have the results in the second half of the day, which will show us the epidemiological picture better. However, we all need to understand that the global pandemic is a challenge that we will probably have to face for the next one year, or a year and a half. We all need to understand that the main task of the government now is to properly manage risks. No country, including Georgia, can defeat the global pandemic alone, because it is a global challenge and risk. We must do our best to protect the health of our citizens first and foremost and, of course, our economy.

 

"We have some success in this direction and today Georgia is recognized as one of the most successful countries in terms of managing epidemic risks, as well as reducing economic risks," - said the Prime Minister.
