Anyone in contact with a person infected with coronavirus may self-isolate himself/herself if he/she has relevant conditions and there is no need to quarantine that person, - Deputy Minister of Health Tamar Gabunia said in response to the journalist's question of why Archil Taladze, Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, was not quarantined.

According to the Deputy Minister, there are many cases when those in contact with a person infected with coronavirus self-isolate themselves.

"The case of Archil Talakvadze became known to the public, but there are many similar cases”, she said.

However, she added that it was advisable to quarantine those arrived from high-risk countries.

Archil Talakvadze self-isolated himself after his personal guard tested positive for coronavirus.
