According to preliminary estimates, the Georgian economy shrank by 5.5% in July, - stated Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of the National Statistics Office.

 

According to him, the average real growth in January-July is negative and stands at -5.8%.

 

"According to preliminary estimates, real GDP growth in July slowed down somewhat compared to the same period last year, and we are facing a 5.5% decline in the economy. Therefore, the average real growth for the first 7 months is -5.8%", - stressed Todradze
