Quarantine restrictions declared in the village of Labra in occupied Abkhazia

According to the decision of the de facto healthcare ministry of occupied Abkhazia, 14-day quarantine has been declared in the village of Labra. At the moment, the samples are being obtained to detect COVID infection in the rural population.

 

The decision was made after one patient died on August 24 and another patient was confirmed to have coronavirus.

 

According to the de facto ministry, the 54-year-old man decided to call for medical help on the 14th day. During this time he was treated at home with a fever-reducing drug. The doctor was called when his condition worsened.

 

For reference, the village of Labra is home to 250 people.

 

According to the data of the so-called operative headquarters, a total of 247 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Abkhazia, of which 101 have recovered.
