As Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated at the government's meeting, throughout the privatization process the clinics shouldn't lose their status and the employees should keep their jobs.
"I would like to address the issue of municipal clinics which are in bad condition, with miserable infrastructure. I'm not even going further and comment on the conditions inside the buildings. Those buildings were built decades ago, without being renovated up until now. I won't discuss the equipment. They're are in dire condition. This problem should definitely be solved. There are two options - one is for the municipality to take the responsibility; however, the municipalities have a lot of problems - the deficit of 150 million and the 50 million which was cut down to be redistributed on other priorities. Therefore, a privatization project should be drafted. Throughout the privatization process the clinics shouldn't lose their status and the employees should keep their jobs", - stated Kaladze.
