Starting from July 1st, the public servants such as policemen, emergency first-aid personnel, village physicians, nurses, and social agents will have their salaries raised, - stated PM Giorgi Gakharia at the government meeting. Giorgi Gakharia noted that the pensions for elders over 70 years will also increase and reach 250 Lari while people living in mountainous regions will receive 300 Lari.

"Starting from July 1st the public servants will have their salaries raised. The list includes police, emergency first aid personnel, village physicians, nurses, and social agents. Those are the people who take care of us and our citizens on an everyday basis. On the other hand, due to the increase in pension and the legislative changes which tied the pension rise with economic growth, the pension issue of our honored elders will never become a subject of political speculation ever again. This is an achievement that has been realized by all of us alongside with the Parliament. In addition, as you know, the pensions for elders over 70 years will also increase and reach 250 Lari while people living in mountainous regions will receive 300 Lari.
