Separatist "inauguration" in the occupied territories

22.05.20 17:15

On May 21, the so-called “inauguration ceremony” of Araik Harutyunyan, the so-called "President" of the so-called separatist "Nagorno-Karabakh Republic" (NKR). Recall that the so-called “NKR” is a puppet pseudo-“state” created by the Armenian occupiers in the occupied Azerbaijani lands, from which more than 1 million Azerbaijanis were expelled.

The event was held at the "Center for Culture and Youth" of the city of Shusha. The leadership of the Republic of Armenia, in particular, the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, arrived at the “inauguration” ceremony of Araik Harutyunyan. This is further evidence that all "independence" of the so-called NKR is a fiction. Everything occupier Armenia decides here. Moreover, in his inauguration speech, the separatist “president” specifically emphasized “Artsakh is Armenia and the point”, repeating exactly the same phrase earlier uttered by the same Nikol Pashinyan.

For Georgia, 20% of the territory of which - Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region - is occupied and more than 300 thousand citizens are expelled from their native places, similar legalization of separatism and ethnic cleansing by organizing fake “elections” and “inaugurations” by the occupants is a clear example of how The Republic of Armenia continues to support separatism in the South Caucasus. Moreover, the separatist so-called sovereign created by the Yerevan regime “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic” recognizes the so-called "Independence" of separatist Abkhazia, and the so-called "South Ossetia."

Logically turns out that if “Artsakh is Armenia and the point” and this “Artsakh” recognizes the separatist regimes in Sukhumi and Tskhinvali, then Armenia will recognize them in fact. There is no accident that the Armenian delegation at the UN General Assembly regularly voted against the return of Georgian refugees to Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region.

Representatives of the separatist "Nagorno-Karabakh Republic" are regularly present as "observers" in illegal "elections" in the occupied Georgian territories of Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region. Thus, through the separatist "Nagorno-Karabakh Republic", the occupying country Armenia in fact supports separatism in the Georgian territories, their occupation, and ethnic cleansing.

This time, official delegations from separatist Abkhazia and the so-called South Ossetia official delegation did not come to occupied Azerbaijani Karabakh. But this did not happen because the occupiers did not want their presence. The fact is that due to the coronavirus epidemic, regular flights between the occupying Georgian lands of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia are canceled. And the delegations of Tskhinvali and Sukhumi separatists always traveled through Yerevan to occupied Karabakh.

Even the citizens of Armenia cannot return home because of this. In such conditions, the Armenian authorities did not organize a special flight for separatists from the occupied Georgian territories. It would become a loud provocative scandal (separatists are being carried, but they cannot evacuate their citizens!).

But there is no doubt that as soon as the flights resume, the separatists from Tskhinvali and Sukhumi will again be “welcome guests” in Yerevan and in occupied Shusha and Khankendi. “Recognition” of the so-called "Independence" of separatist Abkhazia, the so-called "South Ossetia" the separatist regime of the so-called "NKR" has not been canceled. There is no coincidence that in March this year “ex-president" of the so-called NKR or “republics” Artsakh Bako Sahakyan sent congratulations to Aslan Bzhaniya on the election of the separatist “president” of Abkhazia.

In the congratulation, in particular, it was said:

“Dear Aslan Georgievich!

On behalf of the people, the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh, and on my own behalf, I cordially congratulate you on your victory in the election of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia!

Your path, your knowledge, and the experience of a statesman will undoubtedly serve the further comprehensive development of Abkhazia and the strengthening of its state sovereignty.

In Artsakh, fraternal relations with Abkhazia are highly appreciated, based on the traditions of friendship and close cooperation. I’m sure that in the future the relations between our countries and peoples will deepen and expand”.

When Araik Harutyunyan was elected “president of Artsakh”, the separatist “president” of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya still did not go through his “inauguration”. But on April 15, 2020, the puppet leader of the Tskhinvali separatist regime Anatoly Bibilov congratulated Araik Harutyunyan on his election to the post of separatist “president” of the “Artsakh Republic”. Here is the text of the congratulations:

“Dear Araik Vladimirovich!

Congratulations on your election as President of the Artsakh Republic.
Your convincing victory in the elections has become clear evidence of high trust and support of citizens.

I am convinced that your qualities of a statesman will serve the development of the republic, the growth of the welfare of the people of Artsakh, and relations between our countries will develop successfully. I wish you, dear Araik Vladimirovich, good health, inexhaustible energy and success in your responsible public office, and peace, prosperity, and prosperity to the people of Artsakh! ”

Also in Shusha on May 21 on the day of “inauguration” of Araik Harutyunyan as a “speaker” of the so-called “Of the Artsakh Parliament” was elected Arthur Tovmasyan. In his speech, as a candidate for the post of “speaker” of the separatist “parliament,” Tovmasyan suggested intensifying cooperation with both recognized and unrecognized states (Abkhazia, Transnistria, South Ossetia), including through the creation of “friendship groups” between separatist "parliaments".

Thus, there is no doubt that the ties between the NKR separatists, Sukhumi and Tskhinvali will continue to “expand and deepen” if they do not end the illegal occupation of Georgian and Azerbaijani lands and return the Georgian and Azerbaijani refugees who were expelled from their homes, invaders, separatists, and Armenian nationalists.
