External trade deficit increases in the import

As reported by the National Bank of Georgia, in February 2020, the registered external trade deficit increased by 14,8% than in February 2019.

 

The rate reached 440.1 million USD.

 

The registered export rate decreased by 0,5% annually in the reporting period and reached 263,6 million USD.

 

The imports grew by 8,6% and hit 703,7 million USD.

 

In February 2020, the imports increased by 8,6% than in February 2019.

 

The imports increased from the following regional countries: Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Ukraine.
