The case of Marneuli showed us that we can paint the majoritarian system in red and throw it into the Mtkvari, - former President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili said on PalitraNews.

 

According to him, the violations of the quarantine rules by the local population in the quarantine zone showed the weakness of the majoritarian MP of the municipality and the majoritarian system in general.

 

“This is a very clear example of how the majoritarian political system works. The function of the majoritarians is not to sign a tender or employ a relative in the administration, but to inform voters about global processes. Look what is happening in any state of America. Governors of all states, senators of all states speak to their states. The case showed us that we can paint the majoritarian system in red and throw it into the Mtkvari,” Margvelashvili said.
